CONCLUSION

Latitude Manufacturing's PowderFlo® is an agar-based aqueous MIM feedstock which transcends traditional MIM feedstocks by allowing MIM to economically compete with large part net shape process techniques such as investment casting. Its ability to be molded in soft inexpensive tooling also extends MIM's economic potential to smaller production runs where expensive hard tooling had limited MIM's applicability. This feedstock and net shape components fabricated from it are now in production on a commercial basis.
